Maliah // Class of 2021

This session was planned to have the picturesque Colorado mountain views, but due to the horrible wildfire season we have had this summer those views were nowhere to be found. Even spots that always have views were too smokey to see any mountains. Maliah was such a trooper and did not let that dampen her photos one bit! This spot is my favorite location in Erie--Wise Homestead. Such a variety of looks from the little white farmhouse, a small garden, wide open fields, and usually mountains too!

As much as I truly love serving families with small children, it is a little refreshing to have such a cooperative model who actually enjoyed having their photo taken! Usually, I am chasing little ones and playing games to "sneak" the perfect photo moment--definitely a different change of pace to work with such a confident and fun senior girl!

Maliah is on the color guard team and I just love that she brought her flag, rifle, and saber. Letterman jackets are never a bad accessory for senior photos either! The flag was so fun to work with photography-wise! It gives such beautiful movement and impact! Before this session, I knew absolutely nothing about color guard. Maliah made me feel like a seasoned pro! I joke now that I will start specializing in senior color guard photos, but only with flags because I think they are prettier than the rifles or sabres. Really, I think it was Maliah that made it all look so beautiful and effortless!

Isn't she just gorgeous?! I just love everything about her session! I couldn't imagine it any other way than the smokey skies we had-- I am just obsessed!

I know this year will look a lot different for the class of 2021 seniors than any other senior year has, but I really hope that we can rally around these young adults and give them the best possible! Thank you so much, Maliah (& Mama Tiffany!) for the honor of documenting this very special time! You were both absolutely fantastic to work with!

Best,

Stephanie
