A Sunny Spring Maternity Session

As life starts to move a little bit more towards normal, I had the pleasure of photographing Maria & Jon's maternity session! We chose this spot northeast of Boulder because of the gorgeous greenery and soft mountain views! I absolutely love the look of the outfits Maria chose for this session during this very green spring season. The fuchsia really complements all the green that was surrounding us. Jon's pale blue shirt is a nice balance to Maria's fuchsia dress. It was so fun to incorporate some subtle baby props that were soft and neutral. It can be really challenging to style a session if elements (colors, props, themes, etc.) are competing with one another. It makes the image look busy or cluttered. At the same time, too matchy-matchy is boring and dull. This session is a perfect example of balance!
